NEWTON TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 6:30PM in the Newton Township Municipal Building located at 1528 Newton Ransom Blvd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411, the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Newton will hold a public meeting to consider enacting the following:

ORDINANCE OF NEWTON TOWNSHIP AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CABLE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP AND COMCAST OF COLORADO/PENNSYLVANIA/ WEST VIRGINIA, LLC.

At the meeting, the Board of Supervisors will consider a proposed new cable franchise agreement and an ordinance authorizing execution of same, and will receive and consider public input, including with respect to the cable operator’s past performance and the Township’s future cable-related needs.  The Township will consider whether to enact the above-referenced proposed ordinance, to authorize execution of a new cable franchise agreement, and may vote for that purpose.

A copy of the full text of the ordinance may be examined at the address set forth above, during normal business hours from 8am to 4pm, Monday thru Friday.  Any interested party may obtain a copy of the proposed ordinance from the Township upon payment of a standard copying charge.  In addition, a copy of the proposed ordinance has also been provided to and is available at the newspaper in which the Notice appears.
