New Business

  • Koerner Subdivision - Plans were received by the Township on August 12, 2009 by Pamela Wood for her father George Koerner. Rollie Keisling presented the Commission with revised plans with four sets of DEP modules. Detail of wetlands and flood plains were shown on the plans. Mr. Koerner is subdividing 57.34 acres of land and breaking off 10.31 acres for his daughter. On the new lot there is a perc site location along with a back-up. The remainder of the land has an existing home. Parsells noticed a mistake of the land total that was pointed out to Mr. Keisling to be changed. Haan stated that when the wetlands is more than five acres the buffer zone is 100 ft. setbacks for new construction. The scale was incorrect and needs to be 100 ft. per inch. or they will need to get a waiver from the Supervisors. Haan asked Keisling if, when revising the plans, he would show a 100 ft. line from the wetlands to the building setbacks. Keisling stated that he will also show the proposed well location. Keisling also stated that he will have a 35 ft. front setback from the right-of-way. He will also be calling Haan for the road ordinance. The plans will be hand delivered to Lackawanna County Regional Planning Commission by Rollie Keisling.
  • SAPA - Lee Jamison was present and discussed the public hearing for the SAPA final draft will be held on September 23, 2009 at 7:30PM at either the Clarks Summit Fire Company or the Clarks Summit Elementary School. It has not been clarified exactly which building will be used. Jamison encouraged the Commission to attend.
