New Business

  • Elvera Hughes & Neighbors – Valley View Drive -Mrs. Hughes submitted petitions with regard to an ongoing problem with feral cats located at 13022 Valley View Drive. Mrs. Hushes has been to the magistrate four times since October. The last hearing was held on February 5, 2008 – the outcome of that hearing was that the resident with the cats needs to get rid of the cats and stop feeding them, giving her thirty days to do so. Nothing has happened to comply with this ruling. The Board decided that the Township will send a letter to the magistrate in hopes of getting him to act. Chief Reese and Scot Haan will site the resident for not complying with our nuisance ordinance.
  • Hazard Mitigation Plan - The Township will join with the County in a hazard mitigation plan.
  • Abington Rec Park - Correspondence was received from Bob Riesse of the Abington Recreation Park with regard to a donation and meeting. The Supervisors respectfully decline.
  • Community Planning Course - Correspondence was received with regard to a community planning course being offered, Scot Haan will attend.
  • Fiduciary Bond - According to Trollinger Consulting Group, they recommend that the Township obtain it for the pension plans. DGK quoted the Township at $250 for each plan. Supervisors agreed to obtain the bonds.
  • Andy Bettelli - Unable to be present, Mr. Bettelli, requests that his permit be extended in regard to his mobile home being located on his property while he works on remodeling the permanent home. Supervisors stated that at the end of this extension, it will be two years and we are going beyond the normal allowances. Mr. Bettelli will need to present a time frame to the Supervisors for the completion on the home and removal of the mobile home before another extension will be considered.
