New Business

  • Former State Hospital Lands - Mr. Seaman’s showed the Planning Commission a sketch plan that he is working on that would either consist of 13 lots that are 11 acres each or 7 lots with no roads. Commission stated that the way they understand this area is that there are restrictions on this property and the property owners would need to petition legislation for a variance to be able to do this because the deed restrictions state that the lands can only have one house. Seamans will put together the survey plans and submit it to the Township and they can either approve them or not approve them.
  • Pileggi - Sal Pileggi came before the Commission to get ideas from the Commission concerning Wooded Land Development that was subdivided and approved February 28, 1977 and filed in Lackawanna County Courthouse January 5, 1978. This property is located on Forest Acres Drive and only two pieces of the property were ever sold off. The remaining parcels are less that the one acre now required by the Township ordinances. He is also in the process of getting the necessary work done to put in a community sewage system for him and the development. Commission stated that new plans would need to be drawn because this subdivision is over five years old with no substantial improvements since the approval. Pileggi stated that there was substantial improvement as a roadway and electric were put in.
